Me on NBC 30 after the UConn Women's Basketball NCAA Championship win
I watched the UConn Women take on Louisville live in Gampel Pavilion the night of the game. I excitedly rushed the stage when we won and my crazy cheering caught the attention of the local news crew and female reporter. I was asked for an interview and gladly accepted.I was RIDICULOUSLY excited to see this air, but I had classes all day, so I asked my mom to tape the broadcast for me. All of my family and many of my friends saw it live but I never did. Went home the next weekend to find that they taped it (we don’t have a DVR) over a 20 year old VHS that had been taped over at least 15 times, probably more. The video barely recorded and sound didn’t at all. I don’t know what I said and I wish I could actually see it, but at least this is a tiny momento of the championship win of the greatest women’s basketball team to set foot on the court.
(My brother’s parakeets are making the noise in the background)
