95 year old woman taken from her family after living in their home for over 30 year. The courts forced this guardianship because the family squabble over her finances. Dont all familys squabble? Why does that give the court the power to appoint a guardian, who is a total stranger, to do what the guardian thinks is “in her best interest”? Once a guardian is appointed over the person an property, that person loses all of their civil rights. They can no longer make their own decisions about anything, and only the guardian can access the money or assets, and in addition to getting a fee for being the guardian, can sell any house the person owns or evict family members.
