I think at one or more times in his career he was trying for that Kurtis Blow type look that was so popular, but somehow he didnt pull it off. Did you know that they originally hired Huey Lewis to do the theme to Ghostbusters and when he couldnt they got Parker and told him to sound like Huey Lewis? True story
